Baja California State Opens Trade & Investment Office in Silicon Valley.

SAN JOSE, CA (July 8, 2022) — Within framework of the ProBaja Initiative, the Baja California State Government announced the opening of its new Trade & Investment Office located in the heart of Silicon Valley, CA. 

The inaugural ceremony of the Pro Baja Initiative took place in San Jose, CA., with the signing of a collaboration agreement between Rodolfo Andrade, Undersecretary of Economy, and the presidents of the EDCs organizations in Baja (Pablo Charvel – Mexicali EDC, Mario Ruanova – Ensenada EDC, Joel Villalobos – Tecate EDC & Carlos Jaramillo from Tijuana EDC.)

The opening was the culminating event of a 2-day work agenda conducted to explore and attract new business opportunities for investment projects with high added value. Alongside Alejandra Bologna Zubikarai, Mexico Consul General in San Jose, CA., different work meetings were held with strategic sectors of the industry (electronics, IT, biotechnology, among others). 

This initiative will gather the efforts to promote Baja State and therefore, Mexicali as one of the best destinations for investment in Mexico, starting with the strategic expansion of Baja through this permanent office.
