German Embassy Officials in Mexico paid a visit to Mexicali, Baja California, all part of Probaja’s effort to promote nearshoring and industrial development in Mexico.
During the visit, representatives from the embassy met with government officials to foster better understanding about the area and strengthen ties with important Government Chambers and State Representatives, such as Norma Alicia Bustamante, Mexicali’s City Mayor.
The German Embassy and Mexicali EDC toured the city´s industrial sector and visited two German Companies, Booster Precision and Bosch, both based in Mexicali.
Booster Precision, an American precision machining and complex assembly company, arrived at Mexicali in 2006 and provides automotive, manufacturing components for turbo chargers and electric vehicles.
Bosch is a well-known company that based manufacturing facilities in Mexico in 1986. As a leading IoT provider, Bosch offers innovative solutions for smart homes, Industry 4.0, and connected mobility.
Overall, the visit was seen as an important step towards deepening the relationship between Germany and Mexico, particularly in light of industrial post pandemic growth challenges.
As the world continues to grapple with the challenges posed by the pandemic, it is more important than ever to work together and build stronger industrial ties between nations.
