Farnborough, UK. – Baja California State Government alongside the EDC´s organizations from Mexicali and Tijuana made their return to the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA 2022) in the form of the Mexico pavilion.
Running from Monday (July 18) until Friday (July 22), the ProBaja Team will be exhibiting the benefits of investing in Baja to endorse the State´s leading aerospace industry in Mexico with 94 companies established in the region.
Mr. Pablo Charvel, President of Mexicali EDC, mentioned that the goal of this participation is to attract new projects that represent a complementary source of economic development in Baja California and therefore, Mexicali, increasing the competitiveness of the city through the generation of highly specialized jobs and the use of new technologies within the manufacturing processes.
Baja California represents 20% of the Aerospace Industry in Mexico with an estimated workforce of 8,000 technicians, engineers, and operators. Mexicali´s aerospace industry has been active for almost 50 years with 28 successful companies of design, assembly, and MRO such as GKN Aerospace, Honeywell Aerospace, Gulfstream, Safran, Collins Aerospace, & more.
